Dental check up

We recommend everybody to have a dental check up every six months. The reason why this is recommended is that with daily brushing and flossing you can’t reach all spots. In these difficult spots plaque will build up to tartar. This will eventually lead to cavities, gum diseases, root canals and other dental problems. With a dental check up every six months we can perform professional teeth cleaning and examination of the overall oral health. This will severely reduce the risk of oral health problems.

Dental check up procedure

At Jan van Nassau Dental Clinic all dental check ups are performed by dentists. The dentist will examine your teeth, molars, gums and mouth. The dentist will look for signs of oral health issues. In the Netherlands the insurance company allows for an X-ray every two years. If necessary we will perform an X-ray. After examination our preventive assistant will perform professional teeth cleaning and polishing of the teeth. If any oral health issues are found we set up a new appointment to treat them.
